NATO Protestors

More than 1,000 nurses from around the world staged the first NATO protest this afternoon at the Daley Center. Their message: a call for a Robin Hood tax on trades of stocks, bonds, derivatives and other financial instruments in order to raise money for health care. Although this the official nurse’s rally, dozens of different protesters were in attendance from a huge variety of causes.

I was far from the only photographer at this rally. I spotted hundreds of journalists with both still and video cameras. This might be the most well-documented rally in recent history.
