Branded Portrait

A lovely branded portrait I took for a company in the hospitality industry. Their Chicago office was very bright and modern with high-end finishes, which I incorporated into the photo.

Branded Corporate Portraits

A great corporate portrait is not taken, it is usually given. I can say that most of my portraits are the outcome of a collaboration between two people. One is in front of the lens and the other, behind it. The viewer of this photograph will consider the way the subject is dressed, their age and their body language. All these factors give us important clues. You will be amazed by the power of creative composition. Challenge your audience. Don’t be afraid to create a connection which could come off as too complicated to understand. A single frame might be very powerful but it’s still only a part of the bigger picture. The most meaningful portraits tell a story; they not only memorialize a person at a specific time and place, they give us insight into that person as well. Really great portraits tell us as much about the photographer as the person they photographed. The significance of the business portrait you take today may not reveal itself for years and the portraits we really care about get better with time. In this image, I chose to incorporate the marble display as a backdrop. This matched with the vision of their company as a Chicago based high-end service. Corporate branding strategies are curated very carefully to communicate the same values across their entire website and marketing presence. It’s important to pick the right photographer who understands this and can align the photos with the branding of the business.
