Headshots in Fulton Market

Environmental Headshots

A bunch of their executive staff and board members were in town for a meeting, so the client hired me to come to their office for a headshot session. Their office was a converted warehouse in Chicago’s West Loop area with lots of exposed brick, high ceilings, big windows, and exposed ductwork. I love photographing in old warehouses in Fulton Market and it was easy to find an interesting spot for the photos. This hallway provided some neat angles, brick, and metal details that I incorporated into the photos. They wanted a cream color to match their branding, so this spot was perfect for that. We captured some nice photos in the hallway during one of their breaks. This company does work close to my heart, as they deal in pet insurance.

I used a ProFoto umbrella to diffuse the key light, bounced a light into the background, and bounced a light off a wall on camera right for a fill light. I prefer to use at least three lights for corporate headshots.
