Portraits done at your location

Environmental portraits are photographs of people in their natural surroundings such as workplaces, homes, or communities designed to tell a story about their lives, work, or personality. Unlike traditional portraits that focus solely on the face, these photos use context, setting, and props to add depth, with the subject often interacting with their environment

Portraits done outdoors

During the spring and fall, there are opportunities to take skyline portraits outside. Because this is Chicago, we have small windows of good weather and we may have to make a plan B if the weather doesn’t cooperate. I don’t do outdoor photos in the middle of winter or in the summer heat.

Studio backdrop business portraits are excellent for creating consistent, professional, and distraction-free imagery that highlights the subject. They allow for complete control over lighting and mood, ensuring a polished look for branding while offering versatility in colors to match company, or personal, branding.

We have a few options: We can shoot in my studio, we can rent a space that matches your vibe, or we can shoot outside (weather permitting but I don’t shoot outside during the hot summer or winter).
I do a huge variety of portraits. I do business portraits for entrepreneurs, portraits for magazine stories and/or covers, and portraits for small business owners. If you need portraits for your magazine, annual report, social media, website, advertisement, or anything at all, give me a shout.
A headshot is simply a photograph of an individual’s face, usually including their shoulders. A portrait is a wider half-body or full-body shot. Typically a portrait can be more artistic and expressive, showing the essence of a person as a storytelling device.
A session typically needs a minimum of one hour and starts at $650.
I have learned that every portrait client is so different that I now customize every shoot to each individual client. Please reach out and let me know what you’re looking for and I’d love to make a custom portrait package for you.
We are in Chicago and outdoor shoots can be very tricky. You’d be surprised about how even a strong breeze can ruin a shoot by totally messing up your hair. There are limited opportunities but often during the spring and the fall, the weather can work for an outdoor shoot. We always make a Plan B in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. I don’t shoot outside in the winter or summer.
